The Église Saint-Martin is open year-round for free visits. On its northern and southern sides, it has two altars, two tiered structures and two tabernacles dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. These are complemented by stained-glass windows created by P. Arcancamde from Pau in 1919.

Near Mazerolles lies the ancient site of “Roman Villa at Lalonquette”. In the wider region surrounding Mazerolles is the Château de Pau, a castle. The Abbaye de Pontaut and the Abbaye de Sauvelade, both historic sites, are also located in this wider region.

Nature

Lac d'Ayguelongue is a 60-hectare artificial lake that is important for the animal and plant species living there. It offers a 4.4-kilometre circular trail with an outdoor fitness course. At Lac d'Ayguelongue, there are also observation hides from which wildlife can be watched without disturbing it.

In Cescau, a village near Mazerolles, the Landes humides du bois de la Seube wetlands are home to, among others, grass snakes, butterflies, European tree frogs and great spotted woodpeckers. The wetland features an educational trail with several information panels about its animal and plant life.

Trails

The “Mazerolles: les Bénédictins” route leads to the Moulin de Larreule bridge over the Luy de Béarn, whose banks are protected, and then continues along a dirt and gravel path to Mazerolles Town Hall.

In Mazerolles, Pierre founded a bakery in the 1920s, where Le Pastis d'Amélie became particularly well known. The Le Pastis d'Amélie boutique in Mazerolles offers the traditional production of various cakes, as well as explanations of the production process by appointment.
