In Eysus, the parish church of Saint-Pierre stands on Romanesque foundations; it was rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries. Its furnishings include painted niches in trompe-l’œil style dating from 1836. In 1879, the church received stained-glass windows by Jules-Pierre Mauméjean, a glass artist from Pau. Saint-Pierre also houses a statue of Saint Peter.
The history of the village is also reflected in a 16th-century château. It has an underground passage leading to the church.

Nature and Routes
The Ourtau flows through Eysus and joins the Gave d’Aspe. The local hiking plan includes the horse-riding and mountain-biking loop “De l’Ourteau au Gave d’Oloron”.

The first section of Route No. 22 passes through the lower part of Eysus towards Saint-Christau. Route No. 22 is an easy half-day cycling tour covering 29 kilometres.
