Urcuit: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Église Saint-Étienne in Urcuit dates from the 18th century and is open to visitors. Beneath its porch is an ensemble of two funerary monuments with disc-shaped steles; one of the steles bears the date 1660. Very old disc-shaped steles can be found inside the church. Features include carved oak galleries and a reredos. The ensemble of the high altar, with its reredos and tabernacle, has a uniform appearance and can be dated to between 1750 and 1770.
Culture
At the beginning of summer, HAURKATE presents a Basque dance performance every year and organises an event in Urcuit to celebrate the arrival of Olentzero, which is often accompanied by dancing and singing.

Nature
The 26 km-long Ardanavy River flows into the Adour near Urcuit. The Barthes de l’Ardanavy can be explored on foot or by bicycle as part of a self-guided visit. Urcuit’s historic river culture included shipyards in the town, as well as fishing associated with sturgeon, salmon, glass eels and eels.

The Parcours sportif de l’Ardanavy is open to the whole family. The hike along the Ardanavy can be continued on the GR10. On the route from the natural forest of Briscous to Urcuit, you can discover the Château de Souhy Bas. This route includes the Château de Souhy Bas with its restored mill.
The Barthes de l’Ardanavy can be accessed via Route No. 261; the A64 motorway is 2 km away. The starting point for the Bartas de l’Ardanavy / Ardanabiako bartak route in Urcuit is at the town hall car park; from there, the path leads downhill between the cemetery and the tennis courts.
Bartas de l’Ardanavy / Ardanabiako bartak is an easy 7.1 km hiking route lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes, starting in Urcuit.
