Culture
The Saint Pierre Saint Jean Baptiste church is located in the centre of Bérenx. It was rebuilt in the 18th century.
The Château de Mongiscard was destroyed in 1621 during the Wars of Religion, following the annexation of Béarn to France.
Village Life
Since 1987, the Fête Communale has been held in Bérenx in July, usually on the second or third weekend of the month. Depending on the year, its programme may include a rural breakfast, a gastronomic meal, paella, grilled food and a tapas evening. The Fête Communale is a festival weekend organised for the village's residents, their friends and families.
At Quilhous Bérenxois, training in Quilles de Six takes place every Friday at 6 p.m. behind the school; anyone interested is invited to get to know the sport.
Nature
The Lous Arrius circular trail begins near the Auberge du Relais. The Lous Arrius hiking trail passes through agricultural fields and forests to a viewpoint overlooking the hills of Salies-de-Béarn.
Getting Around
The V81 cycle route from Salies-de-Béarn to Orthez passes through Bérenx. A small bridge leads to the square by the village church and school.
The picnic area in Bérenx has two tables and a rubbish bin. It can be reached by bicycle, car or on foot.
