Nature and Trails
The highest point of the hill of Moncaut is 197 metres above sea level and offers panoramic views over the Albret hills. The “Moncaut, balade en Gascogne” route runs through the hills of Moncaut and along the eastern slope of the village, crossing the Petit Auvignon. It offers views of the hills of Gascony and the Garonne Valley around Agen.

Moncaut is located 13 kilometres south-west of Agen; access is via the D 656, D 7 and D 208.
Culture and History
The Église de Fontarède is a Romanesque church with a single-nave layout, a flat-ended chancel and a round bell tower on its north side. Its Romanesque portal features carved foliage, capitals with birds and fantastic animals, as well as a blessing Christ in the tympanum. The Church of Saint-Pardoux in Moncaut dates back to the 12th century and has a single-nave layout, a quadripartite-vaulted transept with a pointed barrel vault, and a semi-dome apse.
Below the village, Fonbilan is home to a washhouse restored on the initiative of the “Pierres d’hier et d’aujourd’hui” association. The Lasdoux washhouse is located on the Petit Auvignon and on the D137 departmental road towards Nomdieu. The Lapiche washhouse is on private property.
On the boundary between the municipalities of Moncaut and Le Saumont, a 13th-century Romanesque bridge spans the Petit Auvignon; it is located on the former road to Condom. The Moulin neuf was built in 1504 and restored on the initiative of the “Pierres d’hier et d’aujourd’hui” association.
The Manufacture Perrot in Moncaut operated from 1776 to 1806–1807. Motifs produced by the Perrot faience factory in Moncaut include delicate figures, roses, carnations, tulips, animals and architecture. The Musée des Beaux-Arts d’Agen preserves 18 pieces from its Moncaut faience collection.
