Dolmayrac: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The castle town of Dolmayrac is situated on a spur overlooking the Lot Valley. Remains of dressed-stone walls have survived from the castle town, connecting the two fortified points.

The Tour de Dolmayrac was built at the end of the 13th or beginning of the 14th century and protected the village on the plateau side, where the natural defences were weaker. The terrace level of the third storey overlooks the valley.

Culture and History

At the former château in Dolmayrac, two square towers are connected by defensive walls that enclosed a village. The former château in Dolmayrac was listed as a historic monument by decree of 22 February 1927.

The Église Saint-Cyprien contains a chapel dating from the 14th or 15th century. The choir of the Église Saint-Orens is vaulted with a ribbed vault featuring liernes and tiercerons that form a star pattern.

The circular trail “Dolmayrac, un circuit panoramique” begins in Dolmayrac. In the rolling landscapes surrounding Dolmayrac, it offers numerous viewpoints over the sites and villages of Pech-de-Berre, Laparade, Le Temple-sur-Lot, Fongrave, Monclar-d’Agenais, Montpezat-d'Agenais and other places.

The route “Dolmayrac / Laugnac, une grande randonnée dans les Serres” is a day hike through the valleys of the Masse and the Bausse. It offers numerous views of the villages above the Lot Valley as well as the slopes of the Pays de Serres.

The loop “Dolmayrac / Saint-Orens, les pruniers de la vallée du Lot” runs alongside Ente plum orchards, which are particularly prominent along the entire route.
