The Lisos runs along the western edge of the municipality of Saint-Sauveur-de-Meilhan and also forms the boundary between Lot-et-Garonne and Gironde. Saint-Sauveur-de-Meilhan is part of the Natura 2000 site “Réseau hydrographique du Lisos”; protected species such as the European mink, the otter, several species of lamprey and eels occur in the Natura 2000 site along the Lisos.

Culture and History
The parish church of Saint-Sauveur was built between 1880 and 1882 in the Neo-Gothic style. In late spring 1940, it was completely decorated with trompe-l’œil paintings by Masutti in barely two months.
The cemetery at the hamlet of Saint-Sauveur is a preserved relic of the former village and is located near the hiking trail. The parish church is not open to the public; to visit it, you must contact the town hall on 05 53 94 31 70 on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 2 and 6 p.m.
Activities
The Claverie equestrian farm offers trail rides and horseback riding tours in Saint-Sauveur-de-Meilhan. By appointment, it welcomes children aged three and over as well as experienced riders all year round.
