Barbaste: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Among the historic buildings in Barbaste is Château Faulong, a residential building dating from the first half of the 17th century. It was listed as a historic monument in 1977. The church in Béas has a bell gable and is dedicated to Sainte Quitterie. In Barbaste, the Moulin des Tours was built between the 12th and 14th centuries; its 800-year history is presented in an exhibition.

Cycling
The Greenway between Barbaste and Sos is a section of the Scandibérique (EV3) and follows a converted former railway line. The route is 23 kilometres long and mainly surfaced with fine gravel; hybrid or gravel bikes are recommended.

The Cauderoue–Sainte-Catherine loop passes through a fertile plain irrigated by the Gélise and then into a forest planted mainly with pine and oak trees. The Barbaste–Béas–Lausseignan route presents Barbaste on the Gélise between rolling hills and forest. The “Gélise, frontière des sables” route follows the last dunes of the Landes massif and leads from the agricultural landscape of the rolling hills to ancient mixed forest.

Albret Golf Expérience in Barbaste has an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 5,810 metres. Cap Cauderoue is a 50-hectare nature and sports park with a forest high ropes course. Activities offered there include canoeing, mountain biking, pony rides and horseback riding, orienteering, treasure hunts, archery, minigolf and disc golf.
