The Château de Lapoujade is a medieval fortified house that controlled a ford and a mill. In the original residential building, a Gothic fireplace and a twin window have been preserved on the upper floor. The Château de Lapoujade is privately owned; the entire château, as well as the archaeological soil of the now-filled-in moat surrounding the château, has been protected by decree of 19 June 2007.
