Culture and History

The Church of Saint John the Baptist probably dates back to the 11th century. In September 1569, it was looted and destroyed by Protestants during the Wars of Religion. The patronal festivities in Bahus-Soubiran take place over the Easter weekend and last for three days.

The Bahus stream, a tributary of the Adour, flows through Bahus-Soubiran. The Circuit du vallon du Bahus, des landes de Baylesses et de Sarmes is a 14-kilometre hiking trail starting in Bahus-Soubiran. The first section of this route follows a wooded hillside above the valley.

Les Greens d'Eugénie is a 9-hole golf course with a par of 35 and a length of 2,809 metres. Introductory golf sessions for beginners are offered there, while experienced players can use the course. Fishing is also one of the outdoor activities in Bahus-Soubiran.

Culinary Specialities

At Les Framboises du Tursan, raspberries are picked by hand every morning when fully ripe. Ferme Auberge Lacère offers foie gras, duck confit, magret and garbure, among other specialities.
