History and culture

The Peace of Le Fleix, which ended the Seventh War of Religion, was concluded at Château Vieux in 1580.

The Protestant Temple is located in the preserved section of Château du Fleix; by decree of 8 February 1968, it was listed as a historic monument.

Sixteen information panels have been installed at the port of Le Fleix. Three large iron cannons can be seen in the former port district of Le Fleix.

Landscape and wine

The clay soils of Le Fleix made it possible for pottery, brickmaking and faience production to develop from antiquity until the 19th century. Viticulture has always held an important place on the sunny slopes of Le Fleix.

The Cave du Fleix vinifies and markets wines from the Bergerac and Bordeaux appellations.

Hiking

Every Tuesday at 2:15 p.m., a group from Le Fleix meets in the town hall square to hike in the surrounding area.

The Boucle de Cap de Fer is designated as a two-and-a-half-hour hike. The Boucle de Gabastou is a 9.9 km circular trail.
