Jayac: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes
One of Jayac’s notable landmarks is the dovecote “Pigeonnier du châtelet de Jayac”. The Barons de Carbonnières built it around 1590.
Culture and History
The church of Jayac preserves a Romanesque choir with several sculpted capitals. This Romanesque choir also contains a particularly beautiful, unfortunately badly damaged 15th-century Pietà.
Jayac also preserves the remains of a feudal keep. At the exit of Jayac, the washhouse bears the inscriptions “Don de l’Évêque” and “Don du Moine”.
On the northern slope of Jayac are two round dry-stone huts.
