The Église Saint-Martin in Festalemps is fortified: its upper section and bell tower form a battlemented defensive chamber. At the same time, it is considered a Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. Its apse contains paintings from the 18th century; in some places, an older Romanesque design has been preserved.

The Église Saint-Martin is associated with a pre-Christmas tradition. In the week before Christmas, the old Amélie bell is rung every evening at 8 p.m. for half an hour. The residents then meet for drinks.
