Staffelfelden: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Château is located in Staffelfelden at 61 rue des Mines. The fief of Staffelfelden, at the centre of which the Château stands, is documented as early as 1310. The present Château was rebuilt around 1762 over a 16th-century cellar, which has been preserved at least in part.

Staffelfelden railway station is located on the route between Strasbourg and Mulhouse and is served by SNCF TER Alsace trains.

History

The parish church of Saint Gall consists of a single-nave nave with six bays, a façade tower, and a portal porch topped by a bell chamber.

The Cité Rossalmend extends across Staffelfelden and Wittelsheim. Construction of the extensive workers’ housing estate, commissioned by the Mines Domaniales de Potasses d’Alsace, began in 1925. The Cité Rossalmend comprises houses for workers, employees and engineers, as well as apartments for single workers.

Culture

La Margelle offers theatre performances, concerts and performances for young audiences. In May, La Margelle hosts the “Etsetala… Festival de Contes en Sol Mineur”, which is open to the general public.

Nature

The Sentier Nat’Thur offers a walk of around 7 km and is equipped with six information panels. It passes through forests, along meadows and near former orchards. Part of the route runs alongside the Thur.
