Culture
The Château fort de Hohrupf in Lautenbachzell is a fortress built in the 13th century, with surviving remains of a square keep. The Chapelle du Wasen in Lautenbachzell was restored in 2009.
The ruins of Château du Hohrupf are located in the vicinity of Lautenbachzell. Also nearby are the historic site of Abbaye Saint-Léger de Murbach, the ruins of Hugstein Castle and the ruins of Couvent de Schwartzenthann.
Hiking
The Lautenbach-Zell–Hohrupf–Buhl–Lautenbach-Zell circular trail passes through the municipalities of Lautenbach-Zell and Buhl, alternates between forests and meadows, and presents no particular difficulties.
On the circular trail to Lac du Ballon, a path marked with a blue cross leads directly to Lac du Ballon. Before descending, the circular trail can be extended with a detour to the Cascade du Kletterbach.
