Culture and history

The Church of St. Catherine has been listed as a protected monument since 3 May 1958. It is a building from the Josephine era with a three-nave floor plan unique in the Vsetín District and built-in galleries.

The permanent exhibition of the Zubří Museum has been housed since 2016 in the publicly accessible depot at Hlavní ulice 824. It presents the history of Zubří and sought-after works by embroiderers from Zubří. The Zubří Museum also features a remarkably extensive archaeological and mineralogical collection. Every year, it prepares several unique exhibitions presenting museum collections, local historical events, and works by artists and craftspeople from the region.

Nature and trails

The “What the aurochs in Zubří remember” educational trail is approximately 7 kilometres long and has 9 stations. From Zubří, you can join a route via a yellow-marked hiking trail that leads over the picturesque ridges of the Veřovice Hills.

The surroundings of Velký hamerský rybník, covering 5 hectares, and Malý hamerský rybník, covering 3.5 hectares, offer opportunities for walks. The Hamerské rybníky are the only surviving remains of Zubří’s former ironworks.

The Freescale Semiconductor Roznov natural rock arch is located in the immediate surroundings of Zubří. The Kamenárka, Trojačka and Oprchlice mountains are located in the vicinity of Zubří.
