Holiday apartment in Vlachova Lhota – Wallachian folk architecture and trails

In Vlachova Lhota, House No. 44 represents 19th-century Wallachian folk architecture. The building is a single-storey log structure on a stone foundation. Together with other historical and cultural sites, it forms a destination where regional architecture, cultural memory and paths through the landscape come together.

Culture and history

A Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1739 is also located in Vlachova Lhota. On 5 May 2012, the permanent exhibition „Řídící učitel Janeček a jeho žáci“ was opened here. On the same day, a reconstructed memorial to the victims of the Second World War was unveiled. Both events mark different aspects of local memory: the exhibition is devoted to school life, while the memorial commemorates the victims of the Second World War.

The fire service museum of the Ploština microregion is located in the municipal building No. 81 in Vlachova Lhota.
