Holiday apartment in Kelníky – Chapel and Cycling Route 5176
Kelníky lies at the foot of the Vizovice Highlands on a plateau. The Částovský stream flows through the cadastral area, and Cycling Route 5176 also runs here. In this way, the town brings together landscape, regional routes, and a remarkable concentration of local cultural history.
Culture
An important landmark in the town is the Chapel of St. Zdislava. Construction of the present-day chapel began in 1972 and was completed in 1977–1978. It was later reconstructed in 1998–1999 and dedicated to St. Zdislava. Inside, the original bell, “Our Lady and St. John of Nepomuk,” dating from 1782, is still preserved.
In front of the Chapel of St. Zdislava stands the sandstone “Stone Cross.” It is older than the chapel and was erected in 1898 at the expense of the devout married couple Josef and Anna Miklovi. The barn of the rural homestead No. 4, which is listed as a cultural monument, is also part of Kelníky’s architectural heritage.
Local culture is not visible only in historic buildings. The Fěrtůšek folklore ensemble organizes cultural events and performances several times a year together with the municipal office. The premises of the Kelníky Municipal Library and reading room are also used for cultural and social events.
Public Places
The Kelníky Municipal Library has a reading room as well as publicly accessible internet and Wi-Fi. The reading room also has a children’s play corner. This public place therefore includes both a space for reading and digital access options, as well as an area for younger visitors.
Activities
A multi-purpose sports field in Kelníky is used for physical activities. An educational nature trail, the “Puštíkova Forest Educational Trail” by Lesní svět, provides an additional nature-oriented activity and leads through the forests around Kelníky. Cycling Route 5176 runs through the cadastral area of Kelníky and complements the local opportunities for exercise and enjoying nature with a designated route.
When comparing holiday apartments in Kelníky, you can consider the displayed offers independently of the location information. On each offer page, check the exact location, type of accommodation, and stated occupancy. The included services and individual price components are equally important. Also pay attention to the booking and cancellation conditions, as well as any possible time restrictions. A comparison shows which points are actually specified in each offer and which remain open before booking. Depending on your plans, payment deadlines, minimum stays, or additional costs may also be relevant if they are stated on the offer page. It is also advisable to read the terms used there for occupancy and price components carefully, so that different offers are not judged solely by the total price. This keeps the comparison focused on the specifically stated terms, without making assumptions about an accommodation in advance.
