Culture

Vidče is home to a wooden bell tower, a traditional timber-built folk structure. It is the oldest cultural monument in the municipality. According to the date on one of its beams, it dates from 1812.

The Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Vidče is a valuable example of Neo-Gothic architecture and was built between 1908 and 1914. The cultural history of the village also includes the Valašenka children's folk ensemble from Vidče, founded in 1953. Valašenka put together ethnographic programmes depicting life in a Wallachian village from spring to winter.

Nature

At 597 metres, Videčské paseky is the highest point in the municipality of Vidče. In the immediate surroundings of Vidče, Hárovické Díly, Cáb and Kamenárka are mountains. Freescale Semiconductor Roznov is a natural arch in the immediate surroundings of Vidče.

The surroundings of Vidče offer views of the Veřovické vrchy, Vsacké vrchy and Hostýnské vrchy, especially Radhošť.

Trails and Winter

A cycle route runs through Vidče. The Hradisko educational trail also passes through Vidče, providing historical and natural-history information about important areas of the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area.

In winter, several easy, well-maintained cross-country skiing trails can be used in Vidče.
