Újezdec lies in the hilly Kyjovská pahorkatina between the Chřiby Mountains and the Morava floodplain. Vines are grown on the southern slopes, and the designated vineyard sites belong to the Bzenec wine-growing region. Újezdec has been known for its vineyards and wine since the 16th century. The landscape, viticulture and local culture can all be experienced here together.

Nature and trails

A marked hiking trail maintained by the Club of Czech Tourists runs through Újezdec. It leads from Ořechov through the ravine and past the Újezdec cultural centre into the village. The marked hiking trail then leaves Újezdec along the main road towards Hostějov, passes through Osvětimany and continues into the Chřiby Mountains and as far as the Holý kopec nature reserve.

The Újezdecká zmola is also part of the natural area. The challenging terrain offers boys opportunities for exploratory outings and adventure; the ravine below the forest on the Stráně slopes has been preserved in a natural state. The local section of the Bzenecká cycling route also includes challenging terrain and a plateau with wide-ranging views. A wine route reaches its highest point in Újezdec and then continues over paved terrain to Vážany.

Culture

The new Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul, built in 1930, is part of the village’s history. The local folk costume also preserves a regional affiliation: it belongs to the Osvětimany-Domanín type and resembles the costumes from Uherské Hradiště.

Petropavlovské hodky always take place at the end of June and are the most important cultural event in Újezdec. Petropavlovské hodky include a traditional fair. The Újezdecký košt slivovice is a recurring local tasting event. The series of events includes the 13th edition in 2019 and the 18th edition in 2026.

You can also compare the included services, individual price components, and booking and cancellation conditions directly. These details may vary depending on the offer; the specifically listed fields are therefore decisive. Before booking, it is also worth checking the period for which the conditions apply and which reservation instructions are provided. This keeps your selection focused on the features actually stated. When comparing holiday apartments, you can also check on the offer page the exact location given and the type of accommodation specified. The permitted occupancy, included services and individual price components are also relevant. In addition, you should read the conditions applicable to the desired period as well as the booking and cancellation information. This makes it possible to compare different offers side by side based on their specifically stated features, without inferring a particular accommodation from the location. Even with similar prices, occupancy, services or conditions may differ; what matters, therefore, is what is expressly listed in the respective offer.
