Uherský Ostroh can be explored particularly through its castle: Zámek Uherský Ostroh was originally a medieval fortified castle and was converted into a Renaissance castle in the 16th century. A residential tower from the 13th century belonging to the original castle has been preserved and forms the core of Zámek Uherský Ostroh. The inner courtyard is surrounded by arcades. The square, burgher houses and church therefore form a historic centre whose protected status and architectural forms are immediately visible.

History

In the historic part of Uherský Ostroh, near the castle, the Moto veterán muzeum is housed in the functionalist Adler commercial and residential building. The museum presents exhibitions on motoring, trade, various occupations and crafts. Its themes therefore extend beyond the history of the castle and also encompass the history of work, business and craft activities.
