Tučapy between a natural monument and Moravian culture
Tučapy lies in the historic cultural region of Moravian Slovakia on a gentle slope of the Chřiby Hills in the Dolnomoravský úval lowland. Those who explore a place through its landscape, buildings, and events can consider several distinct themes side by side in Tučapy. The gentle hillside location, the natural monument, and the historical evidence each offer different perspectives.

Nature
The Koukolky Natural Monument is located in the cadastral area of Tučapy, about 0.5 km northwest of the village, and covers 1.3615 hectares. It preserves a unique xerothermic vegetation area with rare and protected plant species. For some species, Koukolky is the only known site in the eastern part of the Chřiby Hills. Its location, area, and plant composition can be considered separate points of reference for your own planning.
Culture and history
One of Tučapy’s defining landmarks is the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, built in 1934. Local monuments in Tučapy include the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of the Lord. Tučapy once had a former fortress with three courtyards. It probably disappeared in the 16th century; it has not been mentioned since 1579. The writer, translator, and publicist Bedřich Beneš-Buchlovan was born in Tučapy. Koukolky is one of the archaeological find sites in the vicinity of Tučapy; the area around Tučapy was already inhabited in the Upper Paleolithic.
Traditions and events
Since 2007, the Tučapská štamprla has taken place every January; a cimbalom band usually performs at it. In October, the traditional Slovácké hody s právem takes place, followed by a hodová dance event. Tučapské kosení takes place in late May or early June as a mowing event modeled on an earlier rural tradition. Those who organize the calendar by season can include the three events separately in their planning.
For your own planning, you can consider different questions side by side: Are you looking for a connection with nature, are you interested in architectural and local history, or are you timing your trip around a tradition? These perspectives can be considered separately in Tučapy and then compared with one another. Especially on a trip involving several interests, it is helpful to organize dates and themes independently at first and only then take the desired type of accommodation into account. The decision can begin with the travel dates or with the topics that particularly interest you.
When choosing a holiday apartment in Tučapy, you can compare travel dates, room category, and cancellation conditions on the offer pages. The three details can be weighted differently depending on your planned travel period and preferred type of accommodation; the choice of location remains guided by the themes of nature, culture, and events from the preceding sections.
