In the 19th century, the so-called Špitálka was established in Pačlavice Castle, a home for old and sick people. Later, a children's shelter and a girls' school were added. He was a polar explorer and naval officer, took part in an Austrian North Pole expedition and wrote a diary. Antonín Hanák became the first head of the Physiological Institute of the Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava.

Another important testimony in the village is the Church of Saint Martin, which dates from 1655. Next to it stands a Baroque chapel from the late 18th century.
