Hutisko Solanec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hutisko-Solanec can be explored through specific landscapes, cultural sites, and leisure activities. Here, geographical expanses meet visible evidence of local life. The municipality can be viewed at different scales: from its location within the landscape, through individual routes and excursion destinations, to facilities and customs that further define the locality.

Landscape

Hutisko-Solanec lies in the foothills of the Beskids. This classification also applies to the municipal territory, which extends from the valley of the Solanecký potok at 450 m to the 911 m summit of Tanečnice. The natural monument “Poskla” forms a clearly defined landscape feature. It consists of three separate, nearby areas, Poskla I to III, in the Vigantická pahorkatina within the Rožnovská brázda. The natural monument lies at an elevation of 495 to 565 m, approximately 1 km north of the center of Hutisko-Solanec. The municipal territory therefore includes both a valley area and a summit, as well as a more precisely defined natural monument with its three separate areas.

Routes and Activities

Road II/481 crosses the municipality of Hutisko-Solanec and leads from Prostřední Bečva via Soláň to Velké Karlovice. The cycling excursion “Na umělci políbenou Soláň” also passes through the locality: its route leads from Vigantice via Hutisko-Solanec to the Soláň ridge. Around Hutisko-Solanec, there are 300 km of cycling trails, most of which run along field and forest roads. Thus, in addition to a named excursion, the area around the locality offers an extensive network of routes. During the cold season, four locations with ski lifts and numerous cross-country skiing trails are part of the activities available in Hutisko-Solanec.

Culture

The “Hasičské muzeum” displays historical firefighting equipment from local and surrounding fire brigades. Among the exhibits is a fire engine pump from the workshop of the Pařík brothers. It has been owned by the local fire brigade since 1933 and remains operational. Another testimony to the locality’s history is the masonry church in Hutisko-Solanec. It was built in 1748 after the previous wooden church burned down. The “Památník Charlotty Garrigue Masarykové” monument is also located in the locality. It consists of a sandstone block with a plaque and a bust of Charlotta Masaryková on the front. Traditional cultural life also includes Dožínky, a harvest festival celebrated in Hutisko-Solanec. The locality’s character therefore brings together religious architectural history, a public memorial, and the history of firefighting, represented by historical equipment that remains operational.

Leisure

The “Koupaliště Hutisko-Solanec” outdoor swimming pool has a newly renovated 50-meter pool and a smaller children’s pool. The outdoor pool complex includes a campsite for tents and caravans, a playground, sand tennis courts, and a children’s area. Several clearly designated facilities are therefore located together here, ranging from swimming pools to play, sports, and recreation areas. In addition to the two pools, the outdoor pool complex thus includes various outdoor areas and accommodation for tents and caravans.
