Střítež Pod Křemešníkem: Holiday Apartments and Houses

South of Střítež pod Křemešníkem, Mount Křemešník rises to an elevation of 765 m. The municipal area of Střítež pod Křemešníkem is located near the Pelhřimov–Jihlava road corridor.

History

The first written reference to Střítež pod Křemešníkem dates from 1379. The former Říhův Mill is also part of the village’s history: it was the third mill in Střítež pod Křemešníkem and was established at the end of the 18th century. Masopust processions have also been documented in the village.

Nature

The Křemešník regional biocenter includes the cadastral area of Střítež pod Křemešníkem as well as the Křemešník Nature Reserve. This protected area preserves natural forest communities in the summit areas of the Českomoravská vrchovina on more nutrient-rich granite bedrock.

The mountains Putimovský vrch, Špičák, Březina and Přední skála are also located around Střítež pod Křemešníkem. The Orlík ruins, Želivský Kláštor monastery and Janštejn ruins lie in the wider regional area; the Church of Svatá Anna is located nearby.

Trails and Experiences

The Křemešník educational trail is approximately 3 km long and can be completed on foot in about two hours. It leads around the summit through dense forest and reaches a spring. Another facility at Křemešník is Rope Park Křemešník, with almost 30 obstacles, including a children’s park, a junior park and a high-rope course.
