Pelhřimov makes its architectural diversity visible on a short route: The Stezka po stavebních slozích leads past buildings representing Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Cubism, Art Nouveau, Classicism and Functionalism. Due to its architectural unity, Pelhřimov was declared an urban heritage conservation area.

Culture and city history

The Zámek pánů z Říčan houses the Muzeum Vysočiny Pelhřimov. The Freskový sál is the most representative room in the former Zámek pánů z Říčan. The Expozice Pelhřimov - historie - současnost offers another insight into the city's history, with information panels, an interactive display featuring historical films about the Pelhřimovsko region, information on the development of the city coat of arms and a three-dimensional model of the city's settlement.

The Městská šatlava presents a historical exhibition based on the authenticity of the site and extensive source material. Its torture chamber contains original torture instruments and precise replicas; it reflects the period from the 16th to the 18th century.
