Menhartice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Menhartice has been documented in official records since 1349. The rural property on plot no. st. 4 is designated as an immovable cultural monument; the wayside cross on plot no. 1090/11 is also designated as an immovable cultural monument. A manor farm in Menhartice has been documented since 1609.

History

From 1600, Menhartice belonged to the Jemnice estate. Jemnice Chateau was created by rebuilding a territorial castle founded at the beginning of the 13th century.

Traditions and Events

In Menhartice, scattering flowers on Corpus Christi is one of the traditional customs. The procession through Menhartice stops at several places, where the Menhartická koleda is sung together. On December 24, 2025, a traditional procession featuring this song was scheduled to take place in Menhartice from 8 p.m. A New Year's hiking day is documented in Menhartice for January 2, 2024, and January 8, 2025.
