Lidmaň features a landscape with extensive woodland areas to the south and north. There are also a large number of larger and smaller ponds in Lidmaň and its surroundings.
Nature and Bodies of Water
The Lidmaň area lies within the Želivka catchment and is drained by the Cerekvický potok. At the same time, the Černovický potok rises in the cadastral area of Lidmaň, flows in the opposite direction, and is a tributary of the Lužnice.
Cycling and Hiking Trails
Signposted cycle route No. 321 runs through the administrative area of Lidmaň from north to south: from Pacov southwards to Kámen Castle, continuing via Dobrá Voda and Lidmaň to Kamenice nad Lipou. Along the northern boundary of the administrative area, a green-marked, signposted hiking trail runs approximately from west to east, from Černovice via Moraveč towards Nová Cerekev.
Culture and Buildings
The Baldachýnová kaplička sv. Jana Nepomuckého in Lidmaň is a brick chapel open on three sides through arcades supported by Tuscan columns. It houses a cast-iron statue of the saint dating from 1874. The chapel was built in 1874 and completely reconstructed in 1997.
The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Lidmaň has been mentioned as a parish church since as early as 1384. It dates from 1738 and was built on the site of an earlier church. Above its entrance are two coats of arms, including the coat of arms of Count Kinský and, above it, the coat of arms of the Schönburgs.
In the immediate vicinity of Lidmaň is Křížův mlýn s pilou in Lidmaňka, house no. 28, in the Pelhřimov District. The complex was declared a cultural monument in the third quarter of 2017 and is an example of a small rural water mill with a sawmill on a watercourse with low flow. Its craft and industrial technical equipment displays a high degree of authenticity.
Historical Traces
Visible remains of historical gold mining can still be found in Lidmaň. In the immediate vicinity of Lidmaň, above Hojava in the direction of Eustach, only the remains of the ramparts of the defunct settlement of Višněvice are still discernible.
Transport Connections
Lidmaň can be reached via road III/12818 between Pelhřimov and Černovice, as well as via the connecting road III/12819 from Kamenice nad Lipou. The nearest railway stop is in Černovice, on the Obrataň–Jindřichův Hradec narrow-gauge railway line.
