Kadolec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kadolec lies at the foot of the 679.3-metre-high Svatá hora. The mountain is located in the cadastral area of the municipality of Kadolec and is easily accessible on foot from the village. At the summit there is a pavilion with a stone altar and a statue of Saint Zdislava.

Nature

There are nine small ponds and extensive forests near Kadolec, inviting visitors to go walking and cycling. The Kadolecká studánka, a station on the Naučná stezka Svatá hora educational trail, is also located in the cadastral area of Kadolec.

Mount Ambrožný is located in the immediate vicinity of Kadolec. The Duforty, Víckov and Koní hora mountains are also located around Kadolec.

Paths and Routes

The Naučná stezka Svatá hora educational trail runs directly through Kadolec. It is 16.9 kilometres long and has 15 information panels. The paved sections of the Naučná stezka Svatá hora educational trail are also suitable for cycling.

The Jezdecká stezka Velké Meziříčí–Svatá hora equestrian trail also passes through Kadolec on its route between Velké Meziříčí and Svatá hora. It is 24 kilometres long, marked in green and classified as difficulty level 2.

Pilgrimage and Culture

Svatá hora is a pilgrimage site where pilgrimage masses in honour of Saint Zdislava are celebrated several times a year at the summit. A pilgrimage takes place at the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Kadolec on the Sunday around 15 August.
