Jezdovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Špičák Educational Trail ends in Jezdovice after a 10-kilometre route with 10 information stations. The route is suitable for pedestrians and mountain bikers. Its information panels cover biology, geology, geomorphology and history. On the longest variant, it is possible to use a train or bus for the return journey from Jezdovice to Třešť.

Nature

The natural area includes the Jezdovické rašeliniště, a 2.7067-hectare natural monument first designated on 3 May 1984. It comprises a fragment of an extensive meadow fen as well as habitats of transition mires, base-poor moss mires and submontane mat-grass grasslands. The Jezdovické rašeliniště protects rare and endangered plant and animal populations, including Triglochin palustris, Moneses uniflora and Carex pulicaris.

A one-sided avenue of oak trees to the water tower runs along a field path and forms part of an educational trail. Thus, Jezdovice's landscape features different forms of knowledge transfer: the Špičák Educational Trail combines information about natural and geological history with the course of the route, while the educational trail along the oak avenue forms another section.

Culture and History

A distinctive structure in the village is the stone bridge in Jezdovice. It is 14 metres long and 5 metres wide, has three arches and exposed, unplastered masonry. The bridge is considered one of the oldest bridges in Moravia and is documented on historical maps dating from between 1770 and 1780.

A four-metre-high wooden statue of a miner stands on the dam of a pond. It commemorates the history of silver mining and complements the historical themes also covered on the information panels of the Špičák Educational Trail.
