Horní Vilémovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Protestant congregation in Horní Vilémovice was founded in 1783. The Protestant Toleration Chapel in Horní Vilémovice was built between 1784 and 1788.

Culture

The Protestant Toleration Chapel in Horní Vilémovice is a simple rectangular building with a half-hipped shingle roof. In 1902, it was extended with a tower featuring a clock and bells. Inside, there is a pulpit, a railing around the communion table, a baptismal font, and pews.

As a Protestant Toleration Church, the building has been a protected cultural monument since 2007. The regional Vysočina tourism guide also lists the Toleration Chapel in Horní Vilémovice among the ecclesiastical monuments. The history of the Protestant faith also includes Velký Javor: secret Protestant services were held there during the period of religious persecution.

Nature

Near Horní Vilémovice, Velký Javor stands at the edge of the forest, approximately 300 metres beyond the settlement of Věstoňovice. The tree is located in the cadastral area of Horní Vilémovice; its age is estimated at 650 to 700 years. Another geographical feature is the Klapovský potok stream, which rises near Horní Vilémovice.
