Dlouhé: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dlouhé is located on a plateau at an altitude of 555 m, 9 km southeast of Nové Město na Moravě, and is surrounded by wooded hills on all sides.

Culture and History

The current memorial to those who died in Dlouhé was erected in 1924 and commemorates the victims of both world wars. The Protestant cemetery in Dlouhé was established and laid out in 1888 by Protestant residents from Dlouhé and Račice. The first person buried there was the citizen Jan Chalupa.

Several crosses mark historic sites in and around the village: Kříž pod Kopci stands on the road to Radešínská Svratka and is dated 1903. Kříž Omladiny was erected in 1929 by the village's young people on the road to Bobrová. Kříž posledního rozloučení stands in the centre of Dlouhé and is dated 1879. At this cross, residents stop before setting off to a funeral service and bid farewell.

The construction of a bell tower with a small chapel in Dlouhé was decided on in 1874. Rosa Milius-Malovetz, who ran a girls' institute in Brno, donated a painting of Saint Florian.

Ježkov (Frankfurt) is a settlement belonging to Dlouhé and the remains of a former ironworks. Zátoky is a manor forester's lodge built in 1876. In 2022, conditions were approved for the short-term rental of the hall with a kitchen and grill bar, as well as the entire outdoor area including the pergola, excluding the dining area, at Kulturní dům u Pávku.

Cycling Route

The „Bobrová kolem kopce Kalvárie“ circular route follows cycle path 5256 in the direction of Dlouhé. Near Dlouhé, the „Bobrová kolem kopce Kalvárie“ circular route turns towards Bobrová; this is followed by a 2.4 km descent with panoramic views of the surrounding hills.
