Dlouhá Brtnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The history of Dlouhá Brtnice includes St Wenceslas Church with its vicarage: the first chapel or church building at this site was constructed at the end of the 13th century. The church is fully vaulted and has three altars; as an immovable cultural monument, it is registered under the Czech registration number 28428/7-4788.

Culture

In the centre of the village stands the Dlouhá Brtnice reconciliation cross stone on a concrete plinth to the left of the road to Hladov. Its bas-relief depicts a cross; a sword is carved beneath its right arm.

There are also further religious and historical points of interest in the surrounding area: U Svatého Křiže and U Svaté Magdalena are located near Dlouhá Brtnice; both are churches. Roštejn Castle is also located in the surrounding area. Janštejn, a ruin, lies in the wider regional surroundings of Dlouhá Brtnice.

The mountains of Březí and Zejfy are located in the immediate vicinity of Dlouhá Brtnice. The mountains of Kalvárie and Rozhledna are also located in the surrounding area of Dlouhá Brtnice.

The forests around Dlouhá Brtnice are suitable for mushroom picking and hiking. The Halabrunka spring is located in a forest southeast of Dlouhá Brtnice. According to local tradition, the water from the spring is said to have healing powers.

Geographical Location

The Class I state road I/38 from Jihlava to Znojmo runs through Dlouhá Brtnice. It follows the former imperial road from Prague to Vienna.
