Dalečín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The first written mention of Dalečín Castle dates back to 1358; at that time, it came into the possession of the Lords of Pernštejn. At the same time, the landscape around Dalečín is included in the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park.

History and Culture

Wall and ceiling paintings from the end of the 14th century have been preserved in the basement level of the tower of the Church of St. James. The largest and oldest bell in the tower is called Jakub and was cast in 1561 by the bell founder Adam from Velké Meziříčí. The Church of St. James also contains an organ from the early 19th century and three altars.

Nature

The Chudobín Pine is up to 350 years old and won the 2020 European Tree of the Year competition. Because of its location in the protected zone of the Vír Reservoir, entering the area is strictly prohibited; it can be viewed from the lookout point on the opposite bank.

Trails and Landscape

The 34 km-long Údolí historie route begins in Dalečín. For this starting point, a bus ride from Bystřice nad Pernštejnem is recommended.

The Svratecká vodohospodářská naučná stezka also begins in Dalečín. It follows the Svratka for a total of 16.1 km, along the right bank of the Vír Reservoir and over forest paths to Švařec. Along the route, there are numerous stations with educational texts, maps and aerial photographs. The Svratecká vodohospodářská naučná stezka also runs along the Vír Reservoir and the Vírská skalka Nature Reserve.

Cycling and Winter Sports

The municipality’s event calendar records HoPáDal as a mountain biking event in Dalečín in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2026.

The Dalečín Ski Resort offers ski trips and ski courses. Instruction is provided in the basics of skiing and snowboarding. Ski equipment is also rented, and ski bindings are mounted and adjusted by arrangement.
