Cervená Recice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Červená Řečice combines a protected historic townscape with distinctive monuments from several centuries. Červená Řečice Castle is a national cultural monument featuring Renaissance architecture and an exceptional fortification system.

Culture

The historic centre of Červená Řečice is designated as an urban heritage zone. The town’s history also includes the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, founded towards the end of the 13th century and featuring a preserved late Gothic portal with choir galleries, as well as the Corpus Christi Cemetery Church. It was founded towards the end of the 14th century and remodelled in the 19th century.

The Želivský Kláštor Monastery is located in the immediate vicinity of Červená Řečice. The Church of St. Anna and the Church of St. John are also located in the surrounding area.

Outdoors

The Městská pláž Červená Řečice municipal beach facility is located on the shore of the Trnávka Reservoir, approximately 550 metres from Červená Řečice in the direction of Želiv. The educational trail “Po pamětihodnostech a krásách Červené Řečice” provides a local route into the landscape and to the sights. It begins in the central square of Červená Řečice and is three kilometres long.

Nature

The Trnava River is a naturally meandering watercourse in a well-developed floodplain. It flows through agricultural land with scattered greenery and wooded areas.

The mountains Špičák, Putimovský vrch and Orlov are located around Červená Řečice. In the wider regional area are the Orlík ruins and Mount Cetoraz.
