Čížov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Neo-Gothic Chapel of St Florian is a landmark of Čížov and dates back to 1787.

Culture and History

The chapel contains six additional stained-glass windows. In two of them, it is apparent that they formerly contained figurative depictions of saints.

In 1359, the citizen Frenclín Schober from Kutná Hora assigned the Čížov fortress to the brothers Vojslav and Chřábek from Pozdětín.

In the wider surrounding region of Čížov are Roštejn Castle [Doupě] and the ruins of Janštejn and Orlík.

Trails and Landscape

The blue-marked Jihlavský okruh hiking trail runs through the municipality of Čížov. The trail is connected to several other marked hiking trails.

The mountains of Popický vrch, Sokolíčko, Rozhledna and Kalvárie are located around Čížov. Smetanovy sady Park is also located in the same area.

Traditions and Events

The traditional pilgrimage of St Florian is scheduled for 9 May 2026 at the sports field in Čížov. A programme for children and adults was announced, including a juggling and theatre performance by the Kašpaři group, children's competitions, a bouncy castle, tattooing and face painting, as well as children's workshops.

The food and drink on offer was announced as including beer, soft drinks, steaks, sausages, hot dogs and pancakes.

Ranč U Zelené sedmy in Čížov offered children's camps in 2025.
