Libědice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Libědice combines an almost unchanged historic church with traces of a turbulent local history. The Church of St Vitus was built between 1682 and 1694 on the site of an earlier building first mentioned in 1358. A fortress may have been built below the church in the 1570s.
Culture and History
The Calvary group is a late Baroque work made of Chernovice sandstone in 1738 by an artist who remains unknown. It consists of a cross with the body of Christ, the kneeling Mary Magdalene, and figures of the Virgin Mary and Saint John on the pedestal. After 1975, the group was relocated from the municipality of Brany to Libědice.
The villagescape also includes a Baroque column with a statue of the Virgin Mary dating from 1704 and another statue of the Virgin Mary from 1724, which is associated with Vetter. The château is also connected with the local history: Marie Zuzana Smyslovská stayed there at least occasionally.
Traditional festivities in Libědice include the end of the Carnival season.

A marked walking and cycling route has also been established in the village to make walks and excursions easier to follow. The garden of the Kotva restaurant has a public charging station for electric bicycles, where cycle tourists and local residents can charge their bikes free of charge during a stop.
