Výsluní: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Výsluní was founded between 1543 and 1547 and soon developed into a mining town; the town has a regular checkerboard street layout with a central square. Silver and iron ores were mined in the area around Výsluní.

History and Townscape

The present-day Church of Saint Wenceslas in Výsluní was built between 1851 and 1857 in the Neo-Romanesque style, based on plans by the architect Karel Řivnáč. It has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic since 1998. The church is used for weddings and occasionally for cultural events and exhibitions; concerts and a theatrical performance have also taken place there.

Nature

The Kýšovice Waterfall is located on the rocky slopes of the valley of the Prunéřovský stream. Its water flows over three cascades, overcoming an elevation difference of up to 25 m. It can be reached from Myší díra in the valley of the Prunéřovský stream or from Sobětice.

Routes

The Nová Ves–Hasištejn–Výsluní route is 20 km long in total. On the return leg of this route, a yellow-marked hiking trail leads from Hasištejn Castle to Výsluní. From Výsluní, a route continues to Výsluní railway station.
