Brozany Nad Ohří: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The fortress of Brozany nad Ohří was converted into a two-storey Renaissance chateau after 1559 and decorated with figurative sgraffiti.

Culture

The restored chateau houses a permanent exhibition on the history of the region, which is open to the public. Guided tours of an exhibition on criminal law and of a torture chamber in the fortress cellar are also offered at the fortress.

The Church of St Gotthard complex is listed among the immovable cultural monuments in the Litoměřice administrative district. The church features Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architectural styles. The nave contains a Renaissance sandstone pulpit from the second half of the 16th century.

Nature

Pístecký les is a nature reserve protecting a continuous complex of floodplain forests in the floodplain landscape of the lower Ohře. The specially protected species spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum) and Vienna squill (Scilla vindobonensis) occur abundantly in the Pístecký les Natura 2000 site and contribute to the floodplain forest’s colourful spring aspect. Brozany nad Ohří is one of the municipalities listed for the Pístecký les Natura 2000 site.

Leisure and Routes

The Volnočasový sportovní areál leisure sports complex in Brozany nad Ohří has a football pitch with third-generation artificial turf and artificial lighting. The complex also includes a multi-purpose court for ball games with a tartan surface, as well as a children’s playground with a zip line, sandpits, climbing frames, slides and a carousel.

The 25.5 km excursion route “Doksany a jejich okolí” leads to Brozany nad Ohří after crossing the Ohře bridge. A Cyklopoint with an e-bike charging station, bicycle washing facility, service hub and bicycle box has been established in Brozany nad Ohří. A parking area with a service point and two parking spaces for motorhomes has also been established there.
