Mezihorí: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Mezihoří combines winter sports with remarkable traces of history. The ski resort offers two downhill slopes – one red and one blue – as well as two drag lifts. The history of the place also goes back a long way: Mezihoří was founded on 10 September 1577.

Winter sports and circular trails

The two drag lifts serve the slopes in the Mezihoří ski resort. Snowboarding lessons are also available there. Free parking is available to visitors at the ski resort. The Mezihoří ski resort can be reached by regular bus services and can also be left using such services.

Several circular trails complement the range of activities. The Mezihoří–Blatno circular trail starts in the ski resort opposite the bottom station of the large drag lift and, as an easy circular trail, is 3.5 km long in each direction. The Mezihořský vršek circular trail runs through the area around the places of Mezihoří, Zákoutí and Mezihořský vršek; it is 15 km long and of moderate difficulty.

History and architectural traces

In the past, Mezihoří was known as Gerštofr and in German as Gersdorf. In the upper part of the village stands a chapel from 1900, which has been reconstructed, including its interiors. Another historical trace is the Griessel Mill, also called Höfer Mill, which is still standing today; remains of its mill race have been preserved.

Even before the war, two hiking trails to Mezihoří were signposted: one from Chomutov and one from Jirkov.
