Zaječí: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Church of St. John the Baptist in Zaječí has a late Gothic core dating from 1508 and features fortification elements. Guided tours are offered of the church, its tower, the underground rooms, and the parish gallery. The Velkopavlovická Wine Trail runs near the church, a 109-kilometre-long, signposted wine route through 31 wine-growing communities.

Culture

The parish ART gallery displays works by painters, ceramic artists, and jewellery designers. Another wine-related experience route is Vinné kešky, which takes about two hours through Zaječí and ends with a tasting of sacramental wine.

Routes

The Zaječský walking circuit is 6 kilometres long and runs entirely along marked hiking trails. Zaječí is also located on the Brno–Břeclav railway line. In Zaječí, passengers can transfer to a local train towards Hodonín.

Landscape

The brick-built Dalibor observation tower is located in the Milovická pahorkatina uplands southwest of Zaječí. The tower is 11 metres high and freely accessible year-round. The Chapel of St. Florian stands on a prominent hill on the northern edge of the municipality of Zaječí. From there, there are expansive views of the Novomlýnské reservoirs and Pálava.
