Újezd: Apartments and Holiday Homes

Újezd lies on the northeastern edge of Jevišovka Nature Park. A signposted local cycle route runs through the village. From Újezd, it heads southwest to Jevišovka Nature Park; in the opposite direction, it leads into the area of Rokytná Nature Park.

Cycle Routes and Regional History

The Mlynářská Trail also passes through Újezd on its route from Horní Dubňany to Hardegg. Its theme is the history of milling along the upper reaches of the rivers of the Vysočina region.

Landscape and Wildlife

Rokytná Nature Park also extends into the cadastral area of Újezd. It lies in a protected landscape along the Rokytná stream, which is part of the European Natura 2000 network. The nature park is shaped by the meandering Rokytná; it features numerous rock formations and rare herb species, and kingfishers and eagle owls breed there.

Culture and Surroundings

The chateau in Újezd is designated as a cultural monument. The surroundings of Újezd include the Rabštejn ruins, Václavský Kopec, Stříbrná hora, Příčník, Myslibořice Chateau Park and Skalný (GSM trans.). In the wider regional area around Újezd are the Tempelštejn ruins and Karlslust Chateau.
