Sentice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Sentice lies in the Boskovická brázda, in a valley running from northeast to southwest. In the centre of the village stands the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk, which was established as a Roman Catholic church in 1878.
Nature and Activities
The wooded slopes around Sentice belong to the hills of the Brno Massif. Sentice offers beautiful views of the Svratka River. Near the forest playground on Horka is the Fit stezka na Horce, a circular route approximately 0.5 kilometres long with nine exercise stations.
Culture
The statue of Saint Florian is a free-standing sandstone sculpture approximately 3.5 metres high and is protected as a historic monument. The year 1766 is indicated on the pedestal beneath the inscription; this was recorded during a revision in 1971.
The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is surrounded by an ornamental iron fence approximately one metre high. During the Krojované a Babské hody held from 15 to 17 May 2026, a procession of folk-costumed groups made its way from the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk to the Sokolovna.
Food and Drink
The Sentické medové pivo Kvasar is brewed using traditional bottom fermentation. During maturation, real bee honey is added to the 15° and 13° varieties using a cold process.
PIVO KVASAR s.r.o. sells the full range at producer prices at Sentice 219. It is open Monday to Friday, except on public holidays, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
