Brumov lies in the expanded valley floor of the Besének stream. The village combines bodies of water, distinctive natural areas, notable paths, and small cultural monuments into a diverse local landscape.

Nature and Landscape

The Vršky u Brumova area covers 5.64 hectares. Numerous thermophilic, regionally exceptional, and endangered plants grow there on a bedrock of calcareous phyllites.

Water and Village Life

There are two ponds in Brumov that are suitable for swimming. A Neckyáda takes place at the larger pond every year.

Routes and Activities

A cycle route reaches Brumov from Osiky via the Cimrmanova Trail. Near Brumov, it connects with cycle route 5143 in the direction of Černovice.

A circular route connects Nedvědice, Skorotice, Hrádky, Káčiny, Černovice, Brumov, and Osiky, then leads back to Skorotice and Nedvědice via Sýkořský les and Louky.

Culture and History

The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands in the center of Brumov. Its predecessor, built in 1912, was demolished because of a road widening project; a new chapel was built in 1923.

At the lower edge of Brumov stands a black marble cross dating from 1950. A cross in Brumov was created by Adolf Loos from Nedvědice.

The annual pilgrimage in Brumov takes place on the second Sunday in August each year.
