Rojetín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rojetín lies at an altitude of 476 metres above sea level in a small valley through which a stream flows. In the vicinity of Rojetín lies Rojetínský hadec, a 2.2277-hectare European Site of Community Importance that protects a location of false spleenwort. In terms of the occurrence of false spleenwort, Rojetínský hadec is considered the most important location in South Moravia; it also features relict pine forests.

In the immediate vicinity of Rojetín lies Víckov, a mountain. Three other mountains lie in the vicinity of Rojetín: Duforty, Koní hora and Ambrožný.

Culture and History

Rojetín is the birthplace of the composer Rudolf Kvasnica, who was born there on 9 September 1895. Rojetín’s coat of arms commemorates the local Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. A pilgrimage takes place at the chapel on the first Saturday in September.

From 1617, Rojetín belonged to the Osové domain. In the former domain forest “Na Stráni” on the right bank of the Libochůvka, a presumed former fortified site has been preserved, locally called “Na Hrádku”. Ramparts, a ditch and low wall remains are visible. Martina Fialová runs the ART GALERIE MF in Rojetín, which she manages herself.
