Roubanina: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The history of Roubanina can be seen in specific traces of its buildings and culture. In the Church of St. Andrew in Roubanina, remains of rare 14th-century frescoes were uncovered and restored in 2003–2004. The church was extensively rebuilt in 1923–1924; a nave and a depot were added during the work. Its elongated floor plan features a slightly recessed five-sided chancel. For the Church of St. Andrew in Roubanina, services are listed on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the 2nd and 4th liturgical weeks, as well as services for the current week. The late-medieval Roubanina fortress was originally part of a farmstead; today, only a slight elevation remains of it in the garden of House No. 4.

History and Culture

Roubanina was first mentioned in writing in 1356. The settlement was founded in the immediate vicinity of a crossroads of important trade routes.

The Sokol theatre group in Roubanina performed a total of 28 plays from 1922 to 1933. A further 14 productions were staged from 1945 to 1962; its activities ended in 1962.

Historically, Roubanina was home to, among others, bakers, carpenters, blacksmiths, coopers, wheelwrights, shoemakers, men's tailors, and dressmakers.

RÓBANINSKÉ SLIVOVIČKE was listed as the 11th edition in 2026.

Landscape

Roubanina is situated in hilly terrain at an altitude of 469 m. The Zavadilka stream flows through the settlement. Signposted cycle paths run through the area around Roubanina.
