Nesvačilka: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The founding charter of Nesvačilka dates back to 29 November 1715. The remote manorial farm near Žatčany was divided into 20 homesteads for new settlers. The name of the village also refers to an earlier landscape: Nesvačilka was named after the former Nesvačila pond. In German designations, Nesvačilka appears as Neudorf, while documents sometimes also refer to it as Nová ves and, colloquially, as Nová dědina.

Culture

Above Nesvačilka stands the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. From April to October, it is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Every Sunday at 9:00 a.m., Mass is celebrated there for parishioners and pilgrims. Nesvačilka hosts the traditional hody festival every year; numerous cultural events take place on the grounds of the shooting range in Nesvačilka.

Landscape

Nesvačilka is located in a flat, agricultural area without forests or ponds. The surrounding area is locally known as the “landscape without shade.” Several ponds once surrounded Nesvačilka, but they were abandoned at the beginning of the 19th century. Vinohrádky near Žatčany is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Nesvačilka; Špidlata near Těšany is also a hill in the immediate vicinity.

In April 2024, a traditional tasting of fruit brandies was held in Nesvačilka, where visitors could also sample game specialties.
