Lhota U Lysic: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lhota u Lysic was first mentioned in written records in 1351. The settlement developed as a circular village at the end of the road from Lysice. The wooden log houses of Lhota u Lysic were gradually arranged in a horseshoe shape, as is characteristic of this type of village.

The village square is considered the medieval and modern centre of Lhota u Lysic. A small bell tower stands on the former village square.

Culture and Memorials

The pilgrimage festival in honour of the Assumption of Mary is celebrated on 15 August. A marble cross was erected beside the chapel in 1938 and restored in 1996 and 2011.

The wayside cross at the crossroads in Lhota u Lysic bears an inscription with the year 1851. The cross at U Jonášových was erected in 1874 and most recently restored in 2011.

Nature and Landscape

Lhota u Lysic lies on the left bank of the Lysický potok and at the eastern foot of Na Stráži Mountain. The village lies in the Lysicko Nature Park and is surrounded by forests.

Southwest of Lhota u Lysic lies the Žižkův stůl Natural Monument within the cadastral territory of Lhota u Lysic. It is a geomorphologically significant site and an example of periglacial landforms. The natural monument covers 23 ha of natural deciduous forest with lush herbaceous undergrowth.

Kuliška Mountain is located in the vicinity of Lhota u Lysic. The mountains of Sýkoř, Střela and Jedla are also located in the vicinity of Lhota u Lysic.

Hiking and Cycling Trails

A red-marked hiking trail runs near the southwestern cadastral boundary of Lhota u Lysic. A blue-marked long-distance hiking trail runs along the western edge of the cadastral territory; Lhota u Lysic is connected to it via Road III/3763 or a forest path.

Cycle Route 5145 runs through Lhota u Lysic along the Petrov–Rozseč–Hluboké u Kunštátu–Lhota u Lysic–Lysice route. Cycle Route 5144 runs along the western edge of the cadastral territory of Lhota u Lysic, while Cycle Route 5143 follows the southern cadastral boundary of Lhota u Lysic.
