Lazinov is located on a bay of the reservoir near Letovice; dense green forests surround the village. The Křetínka Reservoir near Lazinov is 4.7 km long and covers an area of 105 hectares.
Routes through the surrounding area
The marked route 5161 connects Lazinov with Křetín and then continues north towards Vlkov. For the most part, it runs along roads, paved forest tracks and field paths through the valleys of the Křetínka and Svitava rivers. The marked route 5166 leads from Lazinov to Letovice; the marked cycle route 5166 runs via Meziříčko to Letovice.
An excursion to South Moravia leads to the picturesque village of Lazinov, circling the western tip of the reservoir and then reaching Křetín.
History and village landmarks
The Lazinov cross was erected in 1860, restored in 2006 and placed on the village square in the bay of the reservoir in 2008.
The stone bell tower in Lazinov has no confirmed construction date; its erection is estimated to have taken place around 1832. The bell tower contains a wooden bell frame. The bell in the tower was consecrated on June 4, 1922, and has survived to this day. The bell tower was renovated in 2005.
The construction of the reservoir on the Křetínka from 1972 to 1978 flooded the settlement of Stavení and the lower-lying part of Lazinov. At the viewpoint above the former site of the Masákův Mill, a bench and a Vodník figure commemorate the old mill and the flooded part of the municipality; from there, visitors can enjoy a view of the now-flooded Křetínka Valley.

Bus route 274 connects Letovice railway station, Křetín, Lazinov and Bohuňov. Bus route 275 connects Letovice, Lazinov, Sulíkov and Olešnice.
