The Croatian House in Jevišovka houses an exhibition about the arrival and life of the Moravian Croats in Frélichov (Jevišovka). There are also several Croatian houses featuring traditional folk architecture with rich stucco decoration.
Culture
The Church of St. Kunhuta is one of the protected historic buildings in Jevišovka. Following the renovation in 1830, only the tower remains of the church’s former Gothic structure.
In the wider region around Jevišovka is Fünfkirchen Castle. The Falkenstein ruins and the White Cross Shrine are also located nearby; Dívčí Hrady is likewise situated in the wider region.
Nature
There are several ponds with remarkable flora in the area around Jevišovka. In the floodplain of the Jevišovka River lies a ten-hectare willow grove planted by Croatian residents in the 16th century. Some of the pollard willows in this willow grove in Jevišovka are at least 200 years old.
Obora Mountain and Pálava Mountain are located in the area around Jevišovka. The “(Rebry)” hill near Drnholec is in the immediate vicinity of Jevišovka; the “(Za dráhou)” hill near Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou is likewise located nearby.
Events and Cycling
Kiritof is a gathering of Moravian Croats that has taken place on the first Sunday in September for more than a quarter of a century. Veloinlinebraní Jevišovka is an amateur duathlon combining roller skating and road cycling.
The official Mikulov–Březí–Nový Přerov–Jevišovka–Drnholec–Brod nad Dyjí–Dolní Dunajovice–Mikulov cycling loop passes through Jevišovka.
